Our founder and CEO, Zahra, created Glamgency — a first-of-its-kind bridal styling agency in Pakistan—in 2022 upon experiencing first-hand the immense labor that goes into breathing life into one’s most oft-envisioned and ideal bridal look.
Despite her extensive experience styling celebrities for their time in the spotlight at red-carpet events, and models for professional photoshoots and campaigns, Zahra found herself desiring the help of a professional to support her when the time came for her to curate her own bridal looks.
As a stressed-out and overwhelmed bride-to-be, Zahra realized how important it is to have a neutral third-party there to advise you through the process of conceptualizing, designing your bridal outfit and coordinating with ateliers and glam teams.
In the midst of her own pre-wedding preparations, she not only identified a gap in the otherwise booming wedding industry in Pakistan but also immediately set her mind to address this growing need for professional wedding styling services across South Asia and beyond.
She noticed that it’s in times of a disastrous fitting, a makeup artist not understanding your vision, or the gold merchant not delivering what they’d promised that you really need a professional to take over, offering much-needed calm and acting as the voice of reason.
