As soon as you make up your mind to have Glamgency style you on your big day, our founder and head stylist Zahra will set up a call with you to discuss the finer details of what you’re looking for with regards to your wedding wardrobe and your overall expectations of your prospective experience of working with a professional glam team.

Bridal styling at Glamgency is indeed a highly collaborative process that combines the expertise of Zahra and her team and the likes, preferences, and input of the bride to create the perfect bridal look that is both impeccably designed and stitched, personalized, and aligned with trending aesthetics.

Typically, our brides are involved in the styling process from A–Z, picking and choosing from among the many references selected for them by our team, approving sketched-out designs, deciding between color swatches and fabric variations, and so much more, all the way down to giving their verdict on the final bridal look complete with jewelry, hairstyling, and makeup.

All brides are different. Some prefer to be kept in the loop every step of the way, needing daily updates on the biggest and smallest of details, while others fully hand over the reins to us. How collaborative the styling process is will, ultimately, depend on you: the bride.

We love creating wedding outfits and curating bridal looks that pay homage to someone’s family traditions or wedding-specific cultural norms! We believe that incorporating bits of your cultural heritage is one of the most effective ways to put together a memorable, unique, and personalized bridal look. 

In such cases, our first priority is to discuss with the bride whether she wants to channel her personal style or pay tribute to her cultural roots through her dress, jewelry, makeup or all three aspects of her look. With that preliminary question addressed, we set about doing our research, collecting references, creating moodboards, drawing up sketches in a bid to find artful and vendors and brands who will create bespoke pieces built around the culture or personal preferences of the bride.

The timeline for every bride varies depending on how many events we are styling her for and how much time they have until the wedding. However, we require a minimum of six months to fulfill our duties and do justice to our job. The bridal styling timeline can fall anywhere between the six months to a year-and-a-half range. 

Maintaining a constant stream of communication—asking questions, getting approvals, giving progress updates—with our brides is our main way of ensuring that the styling process takes place as seamlessly as possible.

One of the most common challenges that brides face nowadays is not being able to distinguish good-quality, investment-worthy wedding wear from poorly-made outfits being sold in the name of bridal couture. At Glamgency, we help brides tackle this challenge effectively, using our vast knowledge of the industry to direct them toward ateliers that will create the most beautiful, handcrafted, bespoke bridal outfits for them on the purest and richest of fabrics that will stand the test of time and take the form of heirloom pieces in the future.

With inside information on the reputation and craftsmanship of different South Asian fashion designers and fashion houses, we are able to tell our brides with confidence where to spend their hard-earned money to receive the most creatively made, impeccably stitched, and handworked bridals that don’t blindly pursue trends but are crafted to last generations and appear in vogue everytime they are worn. 

At Glamgency, we believe that the bride and groom are one unit, so whether we’re styling just the bride or both the bride and groom, we make special effort to ensure that the couple’s looks are harmonized.

It is extremely important for the bride and groom’s wedding outfits to be in sync with one another, not just via color coordination but through other more meaningful ways such as type of aesthetic (modern vs traditional), choice of embellishments and accessories, to name a few. This is where Glamgency comes in. 

We ensure cohesion between the bride and groom’s looks by creating a bridal look that matches the vibe and style of the groom’s and vice versa, and constantly imaging what the two would look like side-by-side attired in their wedding outfits.

At Glamgency, we don’t believe in following trends because any kind of adherence to specific trendy elements can cause a bridal outfit to age and look outdated later on in life—whereas our aim is to gift our brides with pieces that they can wear and rewear countless times and across a span of decades even. 

Hence, our focus is always on creating gorgeous, high-quality, and timeless pieces that certainly shine in the current times but also uphold their value and appeal to stand the test of time and capture the admiration of all. 

Glamgency prides itself as a champion of South Asian craft, a styling company that’s deeply invested in preserving local heritage by uplifting long-standing and, in some cases, endangered hand techniques like marori, zardozi, dabka, mukesh, and so on—the types of embellishment that imbue bridal outfits not just with beauty and grace but a culturally rich and immortalizing quality.

Yes, we do! In addition to offering bridal styling services, we also provide styling services for the entire wedding party, including family and friends of the bride and groom.

However, our main priority is bridal styling and we provide styling services for the wedding party depending on the availability of our glam team and our schedules. Please feel free to message us, so that we can offer you a customized package that includes both bridal styling and styling services for family and/or friends. 

Ideally, you should book our services a year or a year-and-a-half prior to your wedding. That way, we can oversee the coming together of all the different aspects of your wedding look(s) and also ensure timely deliveries from dressmakers.

The sooner you book us, the better! There’s no such thing as too long of a timeline when it comes to creating your dreamiest, most fairytale-esque bridal lookbook! 

At Glamgency, we truly respect our clients’ hard-earned money and cater to all kinds of budgets. In addition to fulfilling the role of stylists, we also act as financial consultants, advising our brides to make wise, well-informed choices regarding where they should invest their money and providing them with accurate information pertaining to the options that fall within their budgets. 

We don’t believe in concepts such as a minimum budget, which is why we always encourage brides to avail our initial free-of-cost consultation calls where we, first and foremost, dispel this myth of only catering to brides with a certain budget. 

However, it is also important to us that we manage our clients’ expectations from the get-go, giving them a realistic picture of which couturiers will produce a bridal outfit for them that’s both beautiful and adhering to their ideal price range. Our vast network of contacts in the South-Asian fashion-design space means that we have something for everyone and ways to secure the best possible prices for all of our brides.

Unfortunately, we do not offer in-house designing services, just because Glamgency is a fashion and bridal styling company and our expertise lies in curating looks, not designing them.

However, we have a great network of trusted and talented couturiers whose knowledge, art, and advice our brides get special access to when they book our services. These fashion designers and ateliers design the most stunning art pieces for our brides, as we share with them our clients’ fabric, color palette, embellishment, motif/patterns, stitching, and silhouette choices. 

Yes, we only work with designer brands. However, having said that, we make sure that we offer our clients a diverse selection of fashion designers and ateliers, with varying price points, to choose from.

For the brides who choose to forego the design and stitching services of our partner fashion houses and prefer to directly get in touch with local craftsmen to produce their bridals—we create all the moodboards for them and help them fine-tune their vision but, ultimately, it is their responsibility to oversee the dress-making process. The Glamgency team does not take responsibility for the final product in such cases.

At Glamgency, geographical borders do not exist and our work is not restricted by any amount of distance. Glamgency prides itself on its transnational practices and its ability to style all brides with the same level of care and attention to detail, regardless of where they’re based. A large percentage of our brides, almost 80%, are not based in Pakistan and are unable to travel here for their bridal appointments and pick-ups. Our business is structured as such that we can handle and manage everything virtually and be present physically on behalf of our clients while they are sitting thousands of miles away.

While our priority is to be there for our brides physically on their big days, sometimes it becomes difficult to do so due to our tight work schedules and prior client commitments.
However, our mode of conduct is to maintain a constant stream of communication with our overseas clients and uphold a steady presence virtually via videocall or Zoom whenever necessary, for example at dress-fittings and during the wedding-day makeup appointments.
